Services provided at Fairivew

Services provided at Fairview Home include:
Nursing: Fairview Home is staffed with a compliment of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Health Care Aides who provide support and rehabilitation for residents. Mental Health services are provided to residents and families by a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Appointments can be made by calling 728-6696 ext. 246.	Business Office: The Business Office is open to assist residents and families with general financial information, rent and trust accounts. This office is located near the reception area at the 13th Street entrance to Fairview Home and is open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Spiritual Services: Pastoral Care is available regularly. A volunteer chaplain provides counseling services and weekly church services are held on Sundays at 10:00 am. Anglican communion, as well as a Christian Reform Service and Memorial Service is held monthly. The fifth floor of Fairview Home has a service every Tuesday. Weekly Catholic mass is held on Thursdays, and Bible study is held Tuesday mornings.	Tuck Shop: The Tuck Shop is located near the reception area at the 13th Street entrance to Fairview Home. The Tuck Shop sells candy, gum, lotions etc., gift items, cards etc. and is open Tuesdays from 2:00 - 3:00 pm; Wednesdays from 10:15 - 11:15 am, Thursdays from 1:30 - 2:30 pm and Fridays 10:15 - 11:15 am. On Mondays, the Tuck Shop becomes mobile and travels around the facility beginning at 2:30 pm.
Therapy Services: Therapy services are available within the facility to assess residents' needs and incorporate rehabilitation services into the residents' daily living.	Activity Programs: A variety of programs and activities are designed to enhance the well-being of each individual resident.
Social Services: Social Workers are available to provide counseling and practical assistance to residents and families in dealing with the social, emotional and economic factors related to the resident's care.	Guest Room: A guest room is available for rent to out of town relatives of residents. To reserve the guest room, please call (204) 728-6696. Costs are $20.00/night for single, $35.00/night for double.
Volunteer Services: Volunteers enhance diverse programs in Fairview Home, contributing to the comfort, happiness and well-being of the residents.	Maintenance: Provides a full range of services such as room repair, and upkeep, renovations, building and ground maintenance and repairs for residents.
Van Service: Fairview Home owns and operates a van used to transport residents to community events and outings. A Van Fund has been established for donations.	Housekeeping/Laundry: A full range of housekeeping and laundry services are provided to ensure a safe and clean facility.
Hairdressing: Hairdressing services are located in the hallway beside the Orchard Lounge at Fairview Home. This service is available Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm. Appointments can be made by calling ext. 217.
